Al started his insurance career with his family insurance agency in 1951. He sold the agency in 1985 and joined Thoroughbred in 1992. Al is heavily involved in insurance education, including part-time faculty member at University of Louisville. He functions as All Lines agent.
Al and his wife, Joan, have four daughters and six grandchildren. They are members of Calvary Episcopal Church, holds Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Past President, Louisville Board of Independent Insurance Agents Recipient of the Robinson Award, (Highest honor given by Louisville Board of Ins Agents) Past Director, Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky Past Education Chairman, Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky Recipient of Insuror of the Year Award, (Highest honor given by Ins Agents of Ky) Past President, Kentucky AAU Member, Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame Licensed for General Lines and Life.
